A suspended license can lead to job loss, inability to get where you need for yourself and kids, and even housing insecurity. Fortunately, Indiana provides for the ability to drive on a limited basis with what is called Specialized Driving Privileges. It can be frustrating to apply for these limited driving privileges only to have your application rejected because of a technicality. We help our clients comply with all the rules and make sure they stand the very best chance of getting back on the road.
Specialized driving privileges are determined by the granting court for each driver’s unique situation. A common example is allowing a drive to go to and from work only. Another may be requiring operation of a vehicle with an ignition interlock device, if for example the person ever had a DUI. The court may also specify the specific times of day, days of the week, and even more specific details about the routes to take.
